After an appointment is created, a user can edit the appointment.
Copy or Move and Paste
Click on an appointment and select Copy Appointment. Go to a new time or date and time and click Paste. Select either to Move the appointment or make a new Appointment.
Delete and Delete All Recurring
To delete an appointment and remove it from showing on the calendar, click on the appointment and select Delete. Please note that this is not Cancel. Cancel is under appointment status. Delete all recurring will delete appointments for all future appointments from the appointment selected and into the future.
Orders
Diagnosis and/or CPT/Services can be entered prior to a patient encounter taking place. Clicking on an appointment prior to check-in and selecting Open Order, displays the Orders screen. Order Sets can be saved to streamline entering charges for each type of encounter or procedure. These same order sets can be used on the superbill screen. In fact, the superbill screen is identical to the Orders screen. Any information entered as an order appears on the superbill, when a patient is checked-in.
To complete an order, locate the field called Diagnosis and type the diagnosis code or description. A list of the diagnosis matching what is typed by character is displayed. Select one and it will add to the list as the primary diagnosis. The new diagnosis selected is the secondary diagnosis. To make a different diagnosis primary, click on the primary check box.
Next type a service code (CPT) or description. After one is selected from the list, enter information in any of the other fields that is required. Click Save to add to the list. If there is a second code, select it and Save again. When completed, click the cross (X) in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to close this screen.
This print allows patient specific information to be printed for the selected patient. Click on an appointment and selecting Print shows options to print Appointment Details, print Superbill, Print Statement, Print Summary (Account), Print Patient Form, print Today’s Patient Summary, Print Patient’s Today Visit Summary as PDF and Print Patient Labels. This print is not used to print the viewed calendar. To print the entire calendar, find the Print button in the upper right hand corner on the ribbon of the graphical calendar.
Appointment Log
All changes to appointments are logged here and in the Audit Log.
Patient: Switch to Patient Registration, Patient Center, Patient Chart
Clicking on an appointment and selecting Patient opens a pull down menu which has options to switch to other information for the selected patient like Registration, Patient Chart, Patient Center, Print Appointment, Invite For Chat.
Invite For Chat
Click on Invite For Chat to send a SMS to the patient to join the Enablemyhealth portal.
Notifications
With the Enabledoc Notification service active, users can notify patients by clicking on the appointment and selecting Notifications, then selecting Voice Call, SMS or email.
