EPCS Enrollment Steps (Optional New module)  

EPCS is an optional add-on service available for an additional fee. Please contact Enabledoc to enable electronic prescribing of controlled substances.

  1. Receive an invitation from the administrator.
  2. Wait for an email with your account information and password to receive your certificate. Below is the email you will receive:

                    Your IdenTrust Certificate has been Approved!

                    Account Number:xxxxxxxxxxx

                    Dear Provider,

                    Congratulations! Your IdenTrust certificate application has been approved. With your certificate, you can use the Internet with confidence for

                    your secure online transactions.

                     Please note: You have 90 days from the date your application is approved to retrieve your certificate. If it is not retrieved in time, a new

                     application will have to be purchased.

                    Your account number is xxxxxxxxx

                    Your activation code is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

                    To retrieve the certificate, please go to the following URL:

                    Open browser and go to www.identrust.com/install

                    You will have to use your activation code in combination with the Account Password set up during the online registration process.

                    Follow the prompts to retrieve the certificate

                    *NOTE:The certificate cannot be downloaded using Microsoft Edge, please use an alternate browser (IE, Chrome, etc.)

                     You will be prompted to enter your Activation Code listed above, and the Account Password set up during the online registration or renewal

                      process

                      Follow the prompts to retrieve the certificate.

                      NOTE: If you paid with a credit card, you may request a copy of your receipt by logging into the Certificate Management Center and selecting

                      "receipt" from the dropdown menu:

  1. Open the Chrome browser (do not use other browsers) and login to your EnableDoc account.
  2. Go to Manage ePrescribe and click Key Management.
  3. Click and Install Certificate button.
  4. The IdenTrust site opens in a new tab on your Chrome browser. Click I’m READY.
  5. Find the IdenTrust email. You will need to use your Activation Code along with the Account Password created during the online registration process. The Activation Code and Password are required for the first-time certificate installation. Enter the Activation Code and Password, then click the Next button.
  6. Click download and open the IdenTrust Retrieval App to your Windows PC.
  7. When app downloads click on the file in lower left corner.
  8. After installation, open app and click and press the mouse button to drag the key from the webpage to the IdenTrust app.
  9. Then click Next button.
  10. Click Yes to install this certificate.
  11. Review the key information.
  12. Click and download the Enabledoc EPCS upload app. Then run the app to upload the EPCS certificate and key into our system. The key is stored encrypted in a FIPS 140-2 validated key store that can only be used by the provider on the EnableMyPractice mobile app to sign an electronic controlled substance prescription.
  13. Enter your EnableMyPractice ID and password and the password of the certificate. The system matches the name on the certificate with the practitioner’s name in EnableMyPractice. If they do not match, then the certificate will fail to install.
  14. Click Store Certificate. When it successfully loads, you have completed your part of the certification enrollment process.
  15. We will notify your administrator to approve the EPCS authorization.
  16. A second provider is then selected to approve the EPCS authorization, then the Administrator will get a text to activate your account with Surescripts and you can start sending EPCS.
  17. The second EPCS provider receives an email with a link to approve the provider.
  18. Clicking Approve requires an OTP to be entered, which is sent to the provider’s mobile phone.
  19. The added EPCS provider and the administrator are notified that the provider has been approved.
  20. The administrator logs in using an OTP and activates the provider for EPCS on the Surescripts network.
