Existing Features
These features must be activated under Manage Eprescribe to use them. Here are feature you may not know about:
Pharmacy Medication History & Reconciliation: Selecting a patient and opening a note and then clicking prescription from the main menu or clicking Prescription from the appointment screen displays a tab called Pharmacy History.
To reconcile or import the medications to current medications, click Reconcile Medications, which displays this screen below. Click on the medications to add to the Consolidated list box from the current meds list and Medications from Pharmacy History list, then click Add Medications to Encounter to build one list.
Patient Benefits: If Check RX Eligibility is active under Prescriber Management, then the patient’s medications benefits are checked. You can see it appear in the upper right on the Prescription screen.
Formulary: If Check Formulary is active under Prescriber Management, then the selected patient’s prescription is checked to determine if it is covered by their insurance at the bottom of the screen. Different insurers provide varying levels of information.
Pricing: If Formulary is active under Prescriber Management, selecting a medication and clicking the Pricing button displays pricing information for the selected pharmacy based on the patient’s insurance medication benefits at the bottom of the screen. If the medication is not covered by the patient’s insurance, the system will indicate that.
