Medication Inventory tracks what medications have been dispensed or administered. Medications can be linked to an immunization or configured independently without an immunization association. Medications can be searched by NDC code or Medication name. A lot and expiration date are required along with the quantity and the reorder quantity. A supplier and a billing code can optionally be saved. The table at the bottom allows each column to be filtered by typing characters or numbers, then clicking out of the search box to see the search results. Click the column name to sort.

Print Medication Label: Prints the label for the selected medication stock item.

Show Reorder Meds: This button displays a list of medications that need to be reordered.

Print Reorder Meds: Prints the list of medications that need to be reordered.

Lot Details: Displays the medication lot usage history, including dispensing details, patient information, encounter details, and quantity given.

New: Opens a new entry screen to add medication stock details.

Save: Saves the entered or updated medication stock information.

Quantity Dispensed: This link displays the quantity of the selected medication that has been dispensed. It can be viewed from the All Medication Stock Details tab located in the bottom section of the screen.

Pickup Meds for Dispensing/Administering

The Medication Pick screen is used to manage and track medications that are ready to be dispensed to patients. It allows users to filter prescriptions, review medication details, print medication labels, and mark medications as picked or dispensed.

How to Perform Medication Pick

  1. Use the filter section at the top of the screen to search for medications by Medication, Provider, Facility, Room, Group, Employee, Program, Health Status, Time Range, or Date Range.
  2. Click the Filter button to display the matching medication records.
  3. Review the medication details displayed in the grid, including Medication Name, Directions, Quantity, Refill Date, Lot, Status, Provider, Program, and Quantity On Hand.
  4. Select the required medication by checking the checkbox in the first column.
  5. Click the Pick link for the selected medication to mark it as picked for dispensing.
