Use the Find feature to open an encounter, edit an appointment, add an appointment, book repeat appointments, edit the patient registration, open a patient dashboard, enter a payment, Invite, Invite for Chat, Send Intake or send to portal. By default, this screen displays a list of appointments, encounters, notes, and patients for a given date.
Find Patient Appointments
To find a patient appointment, first check the Appointment Radio button and then type their name and/or select a provider, facility, status, and date/date range and then click the Filter button. Select the row that shows the patient’s name and the appointment date you are concerned with. Then there are options to Delete Appointment, Open Encounter, Edit Registration, Move Appointment, Edit Appointment, book a new Appointment, book a repeat appointment, open patient dashboard, collect payment, invite patient, Invite patient for chat, send intake or send to portal.
Find Patient Encounters
To find a patient encounter, select the Encounter Radio button, type their name and/or select a provider, facility, status, or date and click Filter. Select the row that shows the patient’s name and the encounter date you are concerned with. Then there are options to Delete encounter, Open Encounter, Edit Registration, Move Appointment, book a new Appointment, book a repeat appointment, open patient dashboard, collect payment, open superbill, invite patient, invite patient for chat, send intake or send to portal.
Find Patient Notes
To find patient notes, select the Notes Radio button, type their name and/or select a provider, facility, status, or date and click Filter. Select the row that shows the patient’s name and the encounter date you are concerned with. Then there are options to Delete Note, Open Note, Edit Registration, Move Appointment, book a new Appointment, open patient dashboard, collect payment, print note, invite patient, Invite patient for chat, send intake or send to portal.
Find Patient List
To find a patient with a registration, select Patient List radio button, type their name and/or select a provider, facility, status, or date and click Filter. Select the row that shows the patient’s name and the registration date you are concerned with. Then there are options to Modify Encounter, Edit Registration, Edit Registration, Move Appointment, book a new Appointment, open patient dashboard, collect payment, invite patient, Invite patient for chat, send intake or send to portal.
Editing an Encounter Detail for a Checked in Patient
Through Find Patient, a patient’s encounter details, such as their insurance, provider assigned to the patient, or referring physician, can be modified after he or she has already checked in. Click Patient List and select the patient. Click Modify Encounter and a screen will open. Click Edit on the encounter that needs to be modified and make the changes. Then click the Update Encounter button.
