Displays assigned tasks, notes, and messages. Tasks or messages can be created and sent or assigned to employees. Any open and assigned task turns the button yellow. Tasks appear on the Provider Dashboard showing pending tasks that allow opening the task, changing the status, and clicking the link to open any linked page
Clicking the Tasks button opens all tasks assigned to the logged in user. New or edited tasks displays the following screen. The patient details linked to the task. Task types are customizable. Tasks can be assigned to one or more employees or groups of employees. The due date of the task and the tasks description are displayed. Tasks can be linked to patients and EHR pages, such as attachments or notes or prescriptions or lab orders. Task status are Open, Sent, Working, Archived and Completed. Comments can be added to the tasks to communicate information about the task. Tasks can be saved as a clinical note to the patient’s record.
Steps to Add a Task:
- Click the Task Button at the top of the screen.
- Click New Task
- Select a task type.
- Check the box to whom you want to assign the task to.
- Set a due date and time.
- Type a description of the task.
- Select a patient by typing last name then first character of first name. (optional)
- Select the page you are on to link to the claim, if desired. (optional)
- Click Save task or save task and create note or just create note to save it to the patient’s chart.
Notification Setting: This enables text or email notifications of when tasks are due. An employee setting allows alerts to trigger frequency of on-screen alerts. Patient notifications can be set on the Enablemyhealth portal to send to the patient.
