This button opens a video call in another window. Patients can then be invited using a text or email. Other providers can join the call if needed.
- The Virtual Care Video screen opens.
- Click invite. If you want to invite more people, click the three dots the bottom of the screen and click invite people. This will create a link of the meeting which you are able to copy and send it to anyone you want, including staff.
- A new screen opens for the video call, so that you can switch to work on the EHR tab in the browser.
- Click Send Text or Send email displays this screen to invite the patient to join.
- Patient clicks the link, and it opens on their phone browser or PC browser and you see the patient status change to online
- On a mobile phone, the patient should install the mobile app for the best experience. The first time, the patient does need to install the app and then go back to the text message to launch the meeting in the mobile app. On the mobile app, they need to click Join to open the call.
- By default, only audio is activated for the patient, to have video enabled they have to click on the video icon at the bottom to initiate the video.
- The video appears automatically after the patient starts the video.
- Also at the bottom of the screen are options to chat, raise a hand, and various setting options to support low bandwidth connections, mute others.
- At the top there is option to open word processor which a provider might use to make notes as well.
- There is also option to record the video.
- You can also click on the phone icon at the top the screen to start an audio call to any phone number at the same time.
